PI Investigates Fall 2023 Trends

Can you believe Fall is only a few weeks away?! It’s got us so excited for all the cozy soft sweaters, pumpkin spice lattes, and curling up by the fire with a book. First, let’s talk all about the Fall 2023 trends we are currently crushing on and a couple we’re warming up to. Keep reading to learn more about how easy it will be to incorporate the latest trends into your staples this Fall.

What We Love

Crushing On a Dark Romance

Hello gorgeous! Our number one favorite trend for Fall is Dark Romance. It’s feminine, moody, effortless, and screams sexy. Luxurious silks mixed with the most delicate laces and in various colors and silhouettes make it hands down the most elegant trend for Fall 2023. We will absolutely invest in some sleek slip dresses and billowing tops for Fall.

Fever Red

If we were to hand select a red and live in it forever, this is our pick. Not only is this fire red an incredible color that looks to die for on almost all skin tones, but it can be worn in everything, and we mean everything. Clothing, shoes, accessories galore (we see you, Rubies having your moment), and makeup – this color is incredible and perfect as Fall transitions into the holiday season. Get ready to see this color trend everywhere you turn.

Leather Up

A fall staple for us is always leather, but we’re seeing it worn in more trendy ways this year. Complete leather looks, corset-style tops with skirts, and leather blazers have been worn by models and celebrities for a hot minute. So don’t be afraid to be bold with this trend and have some fun. Leather and faux leather, whatever your personal preference, this is a fall trend that is edgy and sexy. Besides silhouette options, your favorites are offered in many colors, so let loose and join in on the fun. There’s no limit here.

Tailored Business and Basics

Monotone looks, and business chic aren’t new trends, but how we see them worn is. Instead of the oversized look that’s been everywhere the last couple of years, we’re finally seeing our classic looks well crafted and tailored, which has up jumping for joy. We recommend splurging and booking a tailor appointment asap because they will be busy. This will be your trend moment if you want to look effortlessly chic. Channel your inner Parisian and hop on board. Classic tailored pieces that fit you perfectly will always stay in style.

Areas We’re Growing Into

Any season there will always be some trends that aren’t our favorite; I’m sure you’ve also experienced this. So here are a couple we’re leaning into and how we’ll embrace them while staying true to our personal style. Remember, style is a way to express yourself, so it’s ok if you disagree with us. We welcome it and want you to embrace your preferences and dress for you, no one else, no matter what.

Chunky Embellished Belts

This look takes us back to the early 2000s and our fashion mistakes. We’ve seriously hidden photos during this time. However, when done right, the chunky/embellished belt trend can be fun and help spruce up your wardrobe. Where we really love this idea is tailored pants with built-in hardware. This direction complements most body types and is a fun way to dress up a business look and quickly transition into the night. Many retailers, from Target to Neiman’s, offer a large selection of styles, so you can decide to splurge or save.

Metallics

We love a good sparkle moment and love to have another option other than sequins, but sometimes the metallic, chainmail trend could be more practical. Now saying that several of us at PI have jumped on board this summer with the full-on metallic dresses and skirts, and are obsessed. If you want to dive in or dip your toe into this trend, make sure what you buy fits your body just right. If the pieces don’t, they can quickly work against you. So if you’re struggling to find the right look, try a great handbag or headband instead – this might save you a few pretty pennies too!
